How Coronavirus affected my Life?

Coronavirus changed my daily life and changed my schedule completely, for example I used to go to school from 7 to 2 daily and now I stay at home on a daily basis, and things that were normal for me and everyone like going to the grocery store and going out for a walk or even going to the park seem like a life or death situation now, and now I see that there are precautions we are taking now that we should’ve been taking already. As to how I manage my time and my work I find it best for me to do everything in advance so that I don’t get stressed because I find that I get severe anxiety when I have a lot of work on my plate. When we have assignments for any of our square tech classes I try to do all of my schoolwork by Wednesday so that I have Thursday and Friday to do any work for Square tech. For family time that’s usually around four when my mother comes back from work on weekdays. I really hope I can rebuild my sleep schedule after this passes, because I have been sleeping around 2 AM and waking up at around 11 AM, whereas before all of this happened I used to sleep at 11:30 maximum and wake up at six or seven.

What uncertainty do you have regarding what happens next?

Like I said before I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to go back to my regular sleep schedule because it seems that every time I try to go back to sleeping at 11 I stay awake thinking about what’s going on and what I have to do, meaning like schoolwork and internship work and more grave things like my health and the health of loved ones.I’m also unsure of how the school and classroom environment is going to be once we actually have to go back to school next school-year. Lastly, I am unsure about how businesses and jobs will be affected and I am questioning how the US way of life will drastically change with this eroding economy.

How do you keep connected with family who are not living with you?

My family and I do try to keep a connection with those who are not part of our immediate household/family, meaning my grandparents and cousins and aunts etc. We keep a connection by calling daily or whenever we can and doing video calls on WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger.

How do you keep connected with friends?

Friends are easier to be connected to because we have several social media systems we use to keep in touch, and we also have group chats and FaceTime so we basically have a connection on a daily basis.

What hobbies, crafts etc. are you doing now that you didn’t have time to do before?

Like I said before, with the events that have happened I have gotten much better at managing my time and at being a more productive person. But at the same time with the vast free time we have gained, I have been able to play games with my friends, draw from time to time and catch up on some TV show binging.

In Conclusion,

In times like these I am keeping myself sane by touching base with my religious side, I found that keeping faith takes burdens off your back as long as you let a higher purpose relieve your stress. As for what I miss most, I miss my school environment and the friends that I would wake up wanting to see you and connect with, and the teachers that tried their best to make my high school life a learning experience and a positive experience overall.

My brother and I.
