PC Hardware provides an introduction to the computer hardware world where specific knowledge and skills are required to help meet entry-level qualifications that are sought out in IT jobs. As we continue into the 21st century, the IT field is ever in demand as technology evolves. Understanding how a computer works will provide students a basis in which they can relay on to perform professionally and make critical decisions as they follow through with our weekly curriculum.


The objective of the PC Hardware course is to gear students to understand a singular computer and what it's made up of. This is an introductory course to provide students a foundation of knowledge and skills to expose youth to potential career paths they can pursue. PC Hardware will include an analysis of the entire build of a computer and each of its components, individual components purpose and relationship to one another, proper safety practices, troubleshooting various hardware and software elements, and the professional industry standards and practices that define an "IT Specialist."
